Case Study: Production-Ready Branding & Logo Design for Oasis Diesel
Oasis Diesel, a specialist in the Agriculture & Transport sector, required a modern and distinctive brand identity capable of maintaining high visual impact across a diverse vehicle fleet. The primary objective was to create a professional mark that felt industrial yet fluid, ensuring the brand stood out in the competitive diesel industry.
The Challenge
The client needed a logo that could bridge the gap between “Heavy Duty” and “Modern Professionalism.” For a company operating in transport and agriculture, the brand had to be:
Highly Legible: Maintaining clarity when viewed on moving trucks from a distance.
Thematically Linked: Visually representing the “oil and diesel” nature of the product without falling into industry clichés.
Technically Robust: Ready for varied applications, from small business cards to large-scale vinyl decals.
The Creative Process: From Sketch to Vector
The design journey began with traditional hand-drawn sketches, allowing for organic exploration of the “droplet” concept.
Symbolism & Fluidity
The final mark features a stylized droplet where the lines flow into one another, symbolizing the liquid nature of fuel and the seamless movement of a logistics network. The use of Oasis Gold, Copper, and Green provides a unique color palette that deviates from the standard “industrial blue,” giving the brand a fresh, high-energy feel.
Typography Selection
To ensure maximum readability, I selected the Montserrat family:
Primary Font: Montserrat Bold for the main wordmark to provide a strong, authoritative “anchor”.
Secondary Font: Montserrat Regular for “Agriculture & Transport,” offering a clean, open look that prevents the text from “closing up” when viewed at high speeds or in low-light conditions.
The Result: A Production-Ready Brand
Within a two-week timeline, I delivered a comprehensive branding package. The centerpiece of this delivery was the Oasis Diesel Logo Manual, a technical guide designed to prevent “brand drift”.
Why the Manual Matters:Â By providing specific CMYK and Hexadecimal codes, I ensured that whether the client is working with a local sign-writer for truck decals or a web developer for their digital presence, the colors remain consistent across all physical and digital formats.
